BASIC MACHINE PowerSpeed 5 WITH FORK HEAD – KEY TECHNICAL DATA

Machine bed (X-axis):
Flat-bed design with 1,000 mm guideway width. Two electric motors drive via a centrally bolted rack. Hardened compact roller guides ensure high precision.

Machine base (Y-axis):
Welded steel construction with 900 mm guideway width. Two liquid-cooled feed motors and two measuring systems ensure dynamic performance and accuracy. Protected by telescopic steel covers.

Headstock slide and headstock:
Made of GGG 60 cast iron, guided by compact roller guides. Optimal power transmission thanks to long guideways and close arrangement of the Y and Z axes.

Dual-spindle drive:
Two vertical ball screws with separate drives and measuring systems for high dynamics and long-term accuracy.

Drive system:
Individual digital drives with AC motors. Feed and rapid traverse range: 2–30,000 mm/min. Acceleration: 3.5 m/s².

Measuring system:
Direct, non-contact linear measuring systems for high manufacturing accuracy.

Control cabinet cooling:
Two-chamber system with automatic internal air cooling and dehumidification.

Lubrication:
Centralized lubrication for guides, permanent grease lubrication for the main spindle, oil mist lubrication in the milling head.

Power supply:
Compressed air 4–6 bar, G 1/4 connection, with filter pressure regulator and condensate separator.

Control:
Siemens 840D sl with swiveling control panel. Wireless handwheel with LCD display, potentiometers, and buttons for axes, feed, and spindle.

Remote maintenance:
Fault diagnosis via alarm manager, notification via email/SMS (SIM card and network required).
