For sale: Shimadzu SolidSpec-3700 UV-VIS-NIR spectrophotometer, designed for the analysis of solid materials, including large optical samples and semiconductors.
Key features of the device:
* Three-detector system,
* Photomultiplier tube (PMT) for the UV-Vis range,
* Two detectors for the infrared range: InGaAs and cooled PbS.
Thanks to this, the device provides exceptional sensitivity in the 900–1600 nm range, where standard spectrophotometers often lose measurement accuracy.
The large sample chamber enables non-destructive testing of objects with dimensions up to 700 × 560 mm. The vertical optical path allows for horizontal placement of samples, which significantly facilitates working with heavy or large elements, such as 12-inch silicon wafers.
The standard software operates in the UVProbe system.
Is an upgrade to model 3700i possible? – YES.
The transition from model 3700 to 3700i mainly involves updating the software and digital functions, rather than replacing the physical optics, which are almost identical in both models.
The update includes the possibility of switching from UVProbe to the newer LabSolutions UV-Vis software. This provides access to automatic result evaluation functions (Pass/Fail) and better data management in accordance with Data Integrity requirements (e.g., FDA 21 CFR Part 11).
Physical differences in the "i" model (e.g., more optimized nitrogen inlets in the DUV version) are difficult to implement in this housing, but the key intelligent functions of the "i" series are mainly implemented through software.
