The 1224 model performs threading on a wide range of pipes, including black steel, galvanized, and plastic-coated pipes, as well as stainless steel conduit, IMC, heavy-wall conduit, and rods with a hardness of up to 30 Rockwell C.

Features
• Induction motor for minimized noise.
• Special motor with auxiliary winding and capacitor start allows the 1224 model to thread a wide variety of materials, even in cases where voltage drops have been experienced.
• Universal die head 1/4” - 2”; retractable die head 2 1/2” - 4” allowing the production of NPT/NPSM or BSPT/BSPP tapered or parallel threads.
• Adequate and consistent oil lubrication of dies and workpiece through the head.

Motor control: Heavy-duty Forward/Off/Reverse with integrated foot switch.
Gearbox: Two-speed gear box with a 3:1 ratio.
Chuck: Hammer-type chuck with replaceable rocker jaw inserts.
Rear centering device: Cam-operated.
Oil pump: Self-priming, gerotor-type, automatic-reversing, constant-flow.
Lubrication: Through the die head.
