PFAUTER / MHD PE 500

A Pfauter PE 500 for the economical production of straight and helical spur gears up to module 12 and 500 mm in diameter – completely overhauled by SerWeMa with Siemens Sinumerik 840D sl, equipped with a gripper unit and a 32-position workpiece storage for unmanned operation. The machine is ready for operation in our hall in Chemnitz: you can inspect it under power, and if desired, we will mill your own sample part and you can take delivery of the machine here. No delivery time, no risk. Sold by Serwema Retrofit Solutions, the company that carried out the overhaul and knows the machine inside out.

The general overhaul included complete geometric overhaul by grinding and scraping, new roller bearings in the main drive and in the milling head, measuring and reconditioning the worm gear, overhauled or new ball screw drives, overhaul of hydraulics, lubrication and coolant system, and new electrical equipment with Sinumerik 840D sl, Sinamics S120 and new axis motors. An electronic generating gear controls all generating and single-part machining processes, and an NC-controlled crash recovery protects the tool and workpiece in the event of a power or phase failure. New paint in RAL 7035/5015 with oil and coolant resistant two-component paint, acceptance of geometry according to SerWeMa protocol based on DIN ISO 6545.

The machine controls six CNC axes: X radial, Y tangential, Z axial, A milling head swivel, B milling cutter drive and C table drive. The SerWeMa gear cutting software guides you through workpiece and tool data via masks, without the need for programming: up to three position-oriented gearings per workpiece, each with its own tool, up to three cuts per gearing with simultaneous or counter-rotating movement, form corrections for convex, conical and convex-conical profiles, lead-in and lead-out phase correction, chamfer milling, dimension correction via tooth width, two-roll or two-ball gauge, measuring stop, shift strategy with defect management per generating cutter and cutting force monitoring with automatic retraction. Technologies: generating milling, single-part milling and worm gear milling both radially and tangentially. A hand-held device with a handwheel allows setup directly in the working area.

Equipment: machine enclosure, chip conveyor, gripper unit with two grippers, workpiece storage with 32 positions, preparation for emission extraction (150 mm nozzle, Harting connector on the machine roof). Documentation complete in German: operating manual, electrical diagrams with parts lists, hydraulic and lubrication diagrams.
