The ZFWZ 5000 originates from Modul's Chemnitz gear machining division and is completely overhauled and delivered with a Siemens Sinumerik ONE control system by Serwema Retrofit Solutions, the company that houses the Modul drawing archive. Proven kinematics, new electrical system, new drives, new safety technology: you get the performance of a new machine at a fraction of the price and with a delivery time of twelve months.

The machine mills external gears, both straight-toothed and helical, up to a module of 40 in hobbing and up to a module of 50 in single-indexing. With the internal milling attachment, internal gears are produced for gear rings of large roller bearings, rotary couplings, and planetary hollow gears, as used in wind power, mining, crane, and shipbuilding technology. Workpieces up to 5000 mm in diameter can be accommodated on the 4000 mm table, the milling head pivots by ±45°, and the 82 kW drive power at the milling head allows for roughing with high chip volume as well as finishing with precision.

The machine is delivered with a new Siemens Sinumerik ONE control system and Sinamics S120 drives, the latest Siemens generation with full availability of spare parts and support, in an air-conditioned switch cabinet of our own manufacture. The user-friendly interface makes setup and programming possible without in-depth G-code knowledge. The geometry acceptance is carried out according to the manufacturer's standard or DIN, with a protocol, jointly with you in Chemnitz. The scope of delivery also includes a machine safety fence with state-of-the-art safety technology, a new paint finish in RAL 5015/7035, a magnetic chip conveyor, circulation and loss lubrication, a hydraulic unit, a coolant system, and the operating manual.
