10-Foot Container Sauna

Mobile outdoor sauna based on a 10-foot shipping container (external dimensions approx. 3.0 m length × 2.44 m width × 2.59 m height), repurposed into a fully equipped sauna with glass front, multi-level benches, and technical installations. The structure retains the robust steel construction of the container as a weatherproof outer frame, complemented by high-quality wood interiors, insulation, and glass glazing for optimal outdoor use. It is stackable, easily transportable, and designed for installation on level ground without a foundation.

Base structure and exterior

* Container made from powder-coated steel (anthracite grey) with ISO corner fittings and reinforced profiles for stability and weather resistance.
* Fully open longitudinal side with a three-part glass front made of clear safety glass (sliding doors with stainless steel handles and floor seal) for panoramic views and natural light.
* External fittings: cold water column with tap and ball valve, optional shower with spray head, ventilation opening with grille at the base of the container.

Interior and sauna setup

Walls, ceiling, and floor fully clad in thermally treated wood (e.g., spruce or aspen, light natural color) 14-20 mm thick, three-tier seating benches with backrests and footrest.
* Bench configuration: lower bench approx. 40 cm high, middle approx. 90 cm, upper approx. 140 cm; ventilated slat construction for airflow and comfort.
* Floor equipped with sealed wooden decking and drain, small headrest, and integrated stone unit at the heater.

Technical features and equipment

Electric sauna heater (approx. 6-9 kW) with stone basket (about 20 kg olivine stones), wall-mounted control panel, and automatic overheating protection.
* Ventilation: fresh and exhaust air vents with sliders (internal and external), smoke outlet and grill at ceiling/wall, indirect LED lighting behind benches.
* Electrical installation: protected wiring with switches for heater and lights, integrated thermometer and hygrometer.

Installation and mobility

Set up on container feet directly on gravel or concrete, total weight approx. 1,200-1,800 kg, ventilated and drained.
* Transport possible via forklift or crane, weather-protected seals on all openings.
