KASTO SSZ Vario 140 Duo + PKS 140 PL

Complete KASTO automated long-material storage, handling and sawing system for steel bars, tubes, pipes and profiles.
The system consists of a KASTO SSZ Vario 140 Duo automatic storage installation with material handling equipment and a KASTO PKS 140 PL circular saw.


The installation is designed for efficient storage and automatic supply of long steel materials directly to the cutting process.
A key advantage of the system is the very high storage density.
The storage system itself, without the saw, measures approximately:
22.0 m × 7.3 m × 6.7 m

Floor space required:
approx. 160.6 m²

At the same time, the system offers a total of:
526 storage locations
consisting of:
489 storage shelves with 275 mm depth
37 storage shelves with 565 mm depth
Each storage location can accommodate material up to:
6,500 mm length

The calculated total horizontal shelf area is approximately:
1,010 m²

This means that more than 1,000 m² of usable long-material storage surface is concentrated within only approximately 160 m² of factory floor space.
The storage structure consists of 9 double-sided material storage columns.
