The system described here was designed for the following application:
Diffusion welding machine for manufacturing the connection between the armature lead and the commutator for starter armatures using diffusion welding.

Diffusion welding unit (also known as polymer diffusion welding unit, diffusion welding, copper soft-soldering unit, copper band welding unit), consisting of a main machine and control system, "PLC control, touchscreen operation".

Process Description

The workpiece carrier moves into the station and is lifted.
The alignment gripper takes the armature from the workpiece carrier and aligns it to the welding position.
The loading gripper takes over the armature and inserts it into the welding fixture.
The welding fixture moves with the armature to the welding position.
The contact and welding cylinder move together, and the first welding process begins.
This process is repeated until the armature is completely welded.
The welding fixture moves with the armature to the transfer position, and the unloading gripper takes over the armature and places it on the lifted workpiece carrier.
The workpiece carrier is lowered.
Workpiece carriers with I0 armatures continue on the belt system; I0 armatures are conveyed to the removal belt.
