Barrel

- The manufacturer of the screw and barrel is TUV-certified ENFORMAK PT INC.
- The material manufacturer of the screw and barrel is ISO 9001:2008-certified BGH EDELSTAHL from Germany.
- The barrel is made of 1.8550 (DIN 12891) nitriding steel and long-term gas nitrided to 66-70 HRc with a hardness depth of 0.5 - 0.7 mm.
- A flange connection will be used between the extruder and the die head.
Screw - Screw Dimension: Ø30/25D
- The manufacturer of the screw and barrel is TUV-certified ENFORMAK PT INC.
- The material manufacturer of the screw and barrel is ISO 9001:2008-certified BGH EDELSTAHL from Germany.
- The screw material is made of DIN 1.2891 (1.8550, 34 CrAlNi 7) nitriding steel and long-term gas nitrided to 66-70 HRc hardness at a depth of 0.6-0.7 mm.
- The screw will be manufactured in an EBM Barrier design for good homogeneity.
Heating System - Heating is provided by ceramic insulated band heaters, certified according to CE and ISO 9001:2008.
- There are 3 heating zones on the barrel.
Cooling System - Cooling is provided by centrifugal blowers from TUV-certified EBMpapst, Germany.
- There are 3 air cooling zones on the barrel.
Reducer Gearbox - A TUV-certified YILMAZ brand, 4 kW DRE series horizontal helical reduction gearbox will be used.
- The motor has an additional cooler for protection against higher loads.
- The motor speed will be controlled via an ABB ACS-880 brand 15 kW inverter drive.
Electric Control Cabinet - The electric control cabinet is equipped with ISO 9001:2008-certified equipment.
- There will be one main electrical panel. The control panel will be located on the extruder.
- The extruder is controlled by the main electrical panel.
- This includes speed control of the drive and zone temperatures, which will be controlled by this PLC system.
- A 7” touch screen will be used on the extruder (master unit). Thanks to this panel, two extruders can be fully controlled.
- The extruder’s screw speed can be adjusted steplessly by means of a 4 kW Siemens / ABB AC frequency motor driver.
